I’m happily married with four (so far) beautiful children. Working on some big plans. I want to make a real impact on my community.

P&E is a resource for parents and educators (and those who are both). Covering pedagogy, local and federal regulation, lesson plans, book reviews, and recommendations I hope to make this a source of quality information and ideas.

Kat has a BFA degree from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. She specialized in printmaking and photography and received education certification to teach K-12 art with an endorsement in English. Working very hard she earned her degree as a single mom and went on to teach for 3 years in public schools in the area. (One year in elementary school and two years at the high school level teaching art and working with the yearbook staff). Her skills include curriculum writing, subject matter integration, organization, team building, and creativity. She eventually got married and started home schooling her own children. She has been home schooling now for 5 years and loves it.
